About Me
Hello! My name is Malika Arora (aka Arora's Borealis), and I am a queer, South Asian photographer, writer, content creator, filmmaker, and marketing professional based in Burnaby, BC.
A bit about my career:
Having graduated from Simon Fraser University with a degree in English Literature and Business Administration, I've been working in marketing, community events, and content creation for over 3 years. Much of my work has been in the non-profit sector, having worked in arts & culture, education, and food & agriculture.
A bit about my artistry:
Forever a literary analyst, I bring both strategy and creativity to everything I do. I love juxtaposing dreamy, bright aesthetics with more calculated, complex ideas, melding the two together to tackle challenging concepts.
Much of my work also revolves around social justice and DEIA principles. As a BIPOC, queer woman, my values are truly integral to my being, and I demonstrate those beliefs proudly in the images I take, the stories I tell, and the words I craft together.
